Next to Normals addresses the fragility of human psyche after loss, the frailty of humanity in relationships, and the lingering presence of what is never lost. Inspiration for the lighting design of this production came from associations between color memory and emotional intelligence. Exploring color palettes, texture, and the emotional mind to highlight the explosive and sometimes destructive nature of the human state.
